Pollution

Pollution is a fact of life. There is no getting around it. The Second Law of Thermodynamics shows that some waste heat must always be produced in every energy transfer. Sometimes, we only produce this type of pollution; other times, we produce other types of pollution, such as when we emit chemical species into the air, water, or ground. In the activities below, the amount of pollution that is produced in our lives is investigated.

Radiation Exposure
Nuclear Energy Capstone
Ecological Footprint
Personal Carbon Impacts
Carbon Cycle Capstone
Home Chemicals
Toxic Chemicals
Personal Ozone Impacts
Ozone Capstone
Drinking Water Treatment
Wastewater Treatment
Air Pollution
Acid Rain
Ozone Depletion
